Reconstruct are now running a variety of child protection courses, with other courses coming on stream in 2014. We have provided some basic guidance on who might find the course relevant but the decision about what is needed for your role rests with your agency.

For information about courses, and to book places, please visit Reconstruct’s Southwest Child Protection Procedures website: www.cios.org.uk/learning.

The CIOSSCB receives funding from some of its participant organisations to provide training to their staff. The following organisations have contributed to the funding of the training packages, and so their staff may attend without additional charge:

  • Cornwall Council
  • Isles of Scilly Council
  • Careers South west
  • Youth Offending Service
  • Police
  • Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group (KCCG)
  • Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust (RCHT)
  • Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust (CFT) – Children’s Services
  • Peninsula Community Health (PCH)
  • Probation
  • Voluntary and Community Sector

Candidates will indicate which organisation has covered their place on their application form. All other organisations must provide details of who should be invoiced for the place.  We want people to be able to access our child protection courses so have kept the costs to a minimum.

Note – all these courses start at 9.30am and end at 4.30pm.

To book a course you will need to complete a booking form and then email this to cornwall@reconstruct.co.uk.  For enquiries please e-mail reconstruct or call 01225 787 038.
