The function of the Section 11/175 Group is
to:
(i) assume
delegated responsibility from the LSCB to discharge all duties
required by Section 11 of the Children Act 2004 and to provide
oversight for Section 175/157 of the Education Act 2002,
(ii) manage the
annual reporting process and liaise with peninsula partners and
LSCBs as appropriate,
(iii) monitor and
evaluate agency performance against agreed standards and provide
feedback to agencies as appropriate,
(iv) promote a generic
approach to safeguarding and the Section 11 process within the
South West peninsula, and
(v) continue to
review the quality of the process by which information is collected
to ensure it is fit for purpose.
